Salvatore Sardisco in arte StYluS nasce il 18 Luglio 1959. Famiglia ed istruzione modeste. Anima di Bambino ricchissima di sogni, passioni, rabbie, dolori poco infantili e con la predisposizione – naturale e premonitrice – che lo guida incosciamente e fedelmente alla Pittura nel rapporto Linea-Disegno-Colore. Vive in collegio dai cinque ai dieci anni, diventando di colpo Adulto. A tredici anni ha già una matura arte pittorica che si intreccia ad evidenti rimandi della sua vita ed incontra Annigoni. Il pittore verifica i dipinti e, tenendone uno, sente di aver trovato un talento: gli chiede di recarsi alla sua Bottega e promette di inaugurargli la prima mostra, appena raggiunta la quantità sufficiente di opere; ma muore poco prima. Sardisco resta solo a combattere la sua battaglia artistica. Da ragazzo in cerca di identità, con la ferrea volontà di riscoprirla senza vincoli nè pareti. La libertà adolescenziale di sognare, vivere nella luce del mondo è soffocata da continui doveri ed obblighi; è circoscritta da notte, buio, dolore e da questi emergeranno quadri forti e biografici. A diciotto anni avviene un’evoluzione artistica: lasciato il pennello, una penna biro manifesta naturale simbiosi con la Linea Continua. Da un moderno stilo, emergono una serie di dipinti non dipinti, essenziali come la O del Linearismo di Giotto. I sentimenti che descrivono la vita di StYluS sono colti in attimi di intima significanza: la sofferenza, la tristezza, la solitudine, l’isolamento che è alla fine ribellione costante; verso qualsiasi forma di reclusione: materiale, spirituale e culturale. Creando una tematica a due varianti: l’una è la speranza innocente degli umili, l’altra è la rassegnazione con la dignità viva della propria storia.

Salvatore Sardisco, alias StYluS, was born in July 18, 1959. His family background and his education were modest and his soul of child was rich in dreams, passions, anger and pain. He has a natural predisposition to painting with a unconscious and faithful predisposition in the report Line-Drawing-Color. Living in college from five to ten years old, he became suddenly adult. At the age of thirteen he has just a mature pictorial art that weaves to obvious references in his life and he encounters Annigoni who verifies Sardisco’s paintings. Annigoni feels to have found a talent: he asks him to go to his shop and he promises to inaugurate Sardisco’s first exhibition, just reached the sufficient amount of paintings; but he died shortly before. Sardisco was alone to fight his artistic battle. As a boy who is looking for identity, with the iron will of rediscovering it without constraints or walls. The adolescent freedom for dreaming and living – in the light of the world – now is stifled by continuous duties and obligations; it’s circumscribed by night, darkness, pain from which will emerge immersive paintings and biographical paintings. Eighteen years is an artistic evolution; left the brush, a ballpoint pen manifests natural symbiosis with the Continuous Line. A series of paintings-not paintings emerge by a modern stylus, essential as the Giotto’s O. The sentiments that describe StYluS’s life are caught in deep signifier moments: suffering, sorrow, loneliness, isolation, constant rebellion toward any form of imprisonment: material, spiritual and cultural. By creating a topic in two variants: one is the innocent hope of humble, the other being the resignation with the dignity alive of his own history.
